Theme

Rock

I explore rocks both literally and figuratively, the formations, the textures and the tensions and relationships between rock forms.

Theme

Waves

I try to capure the fluidity and movement of water, whether its a drop or a tempest.

Theme

Bodily Fluid

As an ex copywriter I revel in words. I give all my pots names. The bodily fluid vases came about as a result of a conversation with a fellow potter about slab built pots having no expression. The dementia plate is about fading words.

Theme

Dog Walk Diaries

The dog walk diaries are a sketchbook in clay, slips and under-glazes, of things Ive seen and places I’ve walked with my dog Muddler.

Theme

Found things

My home is strewn with things picked, gleaned and discovered. Stones, eggshells, bones, feathers, shells, bark. While not trying to replicate nature, I find these to be a constant source of inspiration.

Theme

Moons and Orbs

Spheres and discs are not easy to make. I have a high casualty rate. But they are forms I return to. As a poor sleeper, the moon and planets are old friends.
